Freebies Many free educational materials are available by phone, mail, or internet. Here we present some of our favorite freebies.
Keep in mind that this list is difficult to keep up to date, because free offers don't always last. If you have anything to add or correct, please contact us or post to our message board.

Two libraries, Taylor Ranch and Tijeras offer Educators Guide to Free Materials, which can help you in your search for specific material.

Always Changing About You http://www.always.com/en_us/pages/home.shtml This is a fifth grade program on changing bodies (puberty) It comes with a teaching guide, video, and boy or girl kit. You must enter a zip code after checking that , and claiming that you are a teacher. The zip code then brings up a list of schools in that sector. You can only click on a school and that is where they will send the supplies. No matter what I tried, I couldn't place an order. I called Always Changing program at PG and they as of October, going to ship me the teaching materials only. Not the free giveaways, but we can always hit the dollar stores to supplement.

I found this on another list.  You will receive a free CD-Rom in the mail, and you can also download free teacher's manual and student workbook on-site. It looks pretty cool.  Also, if you click on "teacher resources" there are some great images of frogs, rain forests, and swamps you can save and/or print.

City of Albuquerque Police Department is offering free "Slow Down Albuquerque" yard signs.

Figured since we are all parents, we are very interested in less speeding on our streets for our children's protection!
