A diverse, yet unified organization of homeschooling families who work collectively and cooperatively to provide encouragement, support, resources, classes, fieldtrips and both social and educational activities and opportunities to its members and their children. We are working to build a fellowship which recognizes each member's valuable contribution. Our operation is based upon mutual respect, member initiative, and a democratically based decision making process. We acknowledge a responsibility to one another, as well as to our local community. We will allow our group to evolve as our enrollment, and our children, grow.

Members of AHL attended Schooltime Series plays at Popejoy Hall, participated in an ongoing art class, attended a class on reptiles at the Rio Grande Nature Center, participated in the Presbyterian Health Fair for Kids, learned about rockets (and watched several fly) when we had a special guest speaker from the Albuquerque Rocket Society, enjoyed each other’s company at park days, and learned about the making of candied popcorn and cotton candy on a tour at Walker Popcorn Company.
