A diverse, yet unified organization of homeschooling families who work collectively and cooperatively to provide encouragement, support, resources, classes, fieldtrips and both social and educational activities and opportunities to its members and their children. We are working to build a fellowship which recognizes each member's valuable contribution. Our operation is based upon mutual respect, member initiative, and a democratically based decision making process. We acknowledge a responsibility to one another, as well as to our local community. We will allow our group to evolve as our enrollment, and our children, grow.

From Marylee:

Hipstitch will be offering a sewing class to homeschoolers every Tuesday from 1:00 until 2:00 pm every Tuesday.  Each weekly lesson is $10.  They will be working on short projects that take just one or two weeks to complete.  They focus on learning correct technique and vocabulary.

The kids that came to the last session had a lot of fun.  They made cute little tote bags out of denim and felt.  All materials were provided.  Most of us had our own sewing machines, but Hipstich provided machines for those who didn't bring one.  They did both hand stiching and work on sewing machines.
